If you’re looking for a dessert that tastes like pure sunshine, this nectarine gelato is it. Smooth, creamy, and packed with fruity flavour, it’s the perfect way to enjoy the natural sweetness of nectarines in a chilled treat.
Made with our Eden Orchards Pure Nectarine Juice, this recipe is simple to whip up and captures the taste of summer in every spoonful. It’s lighter than traditional ice cream but creamier than a sorbet — a dreamy balance that’s perfect for spring and summer gatherings.
Ingredients
-
2 cups Eden Orchards Pure Nectarine Juice
-
1 cup cream (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
-
½ cup Greek yoghurt (for creaminess)
-
¼ cup sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
-
Fresh nectarine slices to garnish
Method
-
In a saucepan, combine the nectarine juice and sugar. Warm gently until the sugar dissolves, then allow to cool completely.
-
Whisk in the cream and yoghurt until smooth.
-
Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
No ice cream maker? Pour into a shallow dish and freeze for 1 hour. Stir to break up ice crystals, then repeat every 30 minutes until creamy and frozen. -
Scoop into bowls, top with fresh nectarine slices, and enjoy!
This nectarine ice cream is naturally bursting with vitamins A and C from the fruit, giving you a dessert that’s as nourishing as it is indulgent. The creaminess makes it feel luxurious, while the fresh nectarine juice keeps it light, fruity, and refreshing.
Perfect for spring picnics, summer barbecues, or as a sweet way to end the day — it’s a treat that brings a little sunshine to your table.
